Debating about procrastination is completely beside the point. The point is that people believed they still had some more time and decided that they did want the rocket after all. Except those people found out the hard way that it was no longer possible to do so because of a communication foul-up on Blizzard's end. It doesn't matter what the reasons or circumstances were behind said person waiting until the last day, the blame lies squarely with Blizzard.
I don't expect the company to give in and allow the affected people to get the mount, but poor communication is bad for PR. Just ask Wowhead.
For accuracy's sake, they did tell some people who had RaF'd and were still sitting on the mount via an updated e-mail. Just not everyone.

With the mortal strike nerf, nerco is suppose to be "not worth the math". It is a utility to KO (although stun now is still IMBA)....
