GTX 670 or GTX 670 top

The title says it all. Is the top version worth an extra 100$ (price difference in my country) if I'm not going to OC it?

Also I'm going for the Asus one, is the Gigabyte version better?

100$ not worth it if it was a typo and you meant 10$, go for it.

EDIT: Gigabyte new cooling is quite close to the ASUS DCII so if gagabyte is 100$ cheaper get it instead.

An extra $100? Holy shit. No no no.

Get the Gigabyte WindForce for $400, brilliant pricing on their part.

Hmm let me retype this a bit.
I don't live in the US so I'm going to pay quite a bit more
    Asus GTX 670 - 537,75$
    Asus GTX 670 TOP - 628$
Is the TOP version worth the price difference? I'm not going to OC the card as I don't find a reason atm.

If I go for the normal version, is the Asus card or the Gigabyte one a better choice (they are at the same price)

    GTX 670 vs. GTX 680

One Example from the benchmarks above: 5 FPS more in Metro 2033 while drawing 45 more power for 100$ extra.

Edit: Sorry, somehow I read "GTX 670 or GTX 680". However, my post fits

Gigabyte's WF3x GTX670 was 10 degrees cooler than Asus' DC2. It also ran more quiet. Gigabyte's new cooler is simply better than Asus'.

I read through it all and went with the Gigabyte GTX 670. Thanks for the help nocturnal.

Sorry to chime in, but what about the EVGA FTW Edition? would that be a smart choice or should one just go for the Gigabyte one?

Take a look but Tom's Hardware benches, they are more accurate and present the whole picture rather than skewed reality. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...w,3217-13.html and frankly I have 670 DC2T and the temps in line with what I see here rather on the link that you posted.

In any case to the OP question 670 TOP is not worth extra 100$, don't bother, just get the Gigabyte one.

The temps you see have nothing to do with what the tests show, most tests are done on testbenches which are fully open, not a closed of case, then you have to account for ambient temperatures.

And do you think 79 MHz clock raises the temperature by 10 degrees? Nobody is misleading you, just accept the fact DC2 is inferior to WF3x in 670s.

Regardless they're still both awesome cards. If there is a ~$100 difference obviously go for the cheapest model of the two, unless you have money growing on a tree in your garden.
