    Healers, a question to you.

Which tank-class/spec do you find the easiest (most comfortable) to heal? Assuming the tank is actually good.

    Paladin and Druid.
    But especially Paladins.

Any tank who play his class good is easy to heal.

But i'd say bear tanks are the ones who get the least damage in any situation for now.

Some patch ago this didnt apply to dks , they sucked even if played good.

as a resto shammy, i really like to heal ferals, i just like the idea mostly, but the class doesn't realy matter, it's the player behind it who makes it easy or hard on you.

When tanks could actually die, Druid>Dk>rest. DK might even shift above druids.
    Nowaways no tank can die.

I haven't really noticed that much difference between tanks, as long as they know how to play they're ok to me.
    Hello hello dps are you there? On Recount I don't see a thing, main tank has the healing debuff from the boss you see you see;
Wha-a-at did you say? Vent is breaking up on me, sorry I can't talk now I am kinda healing; K-kinda healing, k-kinda healing...

    Anything that's not a DK.

Seems like DK's are designed to take more damage, due to them having more self healing.

This is of course for progress, with the live nerfs at the moment, no tanks take damage.

Ask this again when bosses stop tickling the tanks.

Seriously, are they ever going to make another fight that requires actual dedicated tank healers?

Paladin hands down and from the beta, Monks.

<-- Resto Shammy. Prefer Pallys tbh. Nothing against the rest (although we don't have a DK so can't really comment) but Pally tanks always seem easier to heal than Warriors/Druids.

In general, a tank who knows which CDs they have and when to use them is easiest to heal, regardless of class.

Now, of course, there are encounters that favour one tank spec/class above another, but that wasn't the question, was it?

On beta, I've healed all tank classes through the new heroics, and it's more of a question of them wearing upscaled PvP gear and/or knowing their CDs (see above) than it's a question of class/spec. I've had warriors that were dead-easy to heal, I've had warriors that I could barely keep alive. I've had monks that seemed immortal, I've had monks that seemed to suck out my mana faster than I could regen any of it. Etc...

As a Holy priest, It's easy to heal the Droods and the DKs. And far far far behind, the War. We don't have a pally tank so I can't comment on this class.
The biggest difference is on Hagara HM. The drood can easily eat the focused assault with a much much lower iLvl gear than the war... It's also the case on Yor'Sahj, the Droods and the DKs are easier healable than the the war by far.

Doesn't matter. Skill matters a lot more than class.

    Infact thats why he asked.

If there is -insert superskilled player- on each of those 4 classes , you will notice that there are some slight differences.. despite how much skill he has.

A bit like comparing combat rogues on 2 near targets with anyone else.

Resto shaman here. I absolutely LOVE blood dk's. Progression is so much easier with them I feel. They take a big hit, I give them a big mastery boosted heal and then they have a big death strike back to 100% with a sick blood shield. So much win.

Resto shaman here. Im gonna have to go with Prot Pallys as well. I like how they are a block tank and I feel as if the damage they do take is minimal but also very smooth unlike blood DKs which can feel very spiky sometimes still.

Holy pally main. I don't really have a preference of healing a specific tank class. It definitely depends on the fight. In dungeons, I really don't notice a difference, but that's just overgearing the content. I once had a dk I thought was really tough to keep alive but it turned out he was running 2H frost in blood presence...

I feel like a lot of it just comes down to how well the tank plays and as a healer, knowing how a specific tank is going to deal with certain situations. DK's take a lot of damage spikes on heavy physical fights (ala zon'ozz), but they also have periods of very low damage because of blood shields. Paladins take the most steady damage, and overall require similar amounts of healing, but more stable instead of burst healing. Bears seem to be somewhere in the middle of dk's and pallies. Warriors, I can't say since it's been a really long time since I've healed one in a raid (guild had a pally, dk and bear that we use regularly).

If I had to give an answer overall, I'd say dk's because 4-set vampiric blood is amazing. Outside of that though, at least the 3 I heal for regularly feel about the same as far as difficulty to heal.

In my experience (heal a little on all the classes; heavily on shaman), good tanks are all about equal for keeping up.

If the tanks are bad, shield tanks and bear seem a little easier to keep up then a DK. This isn't a dig at DKs -- a good one is awesome -- but I think they require more proactive cooldown use, so if a player is lazy about hitting all his buttons, they suffer a bit more than other tanks in terms of squishiness.

    That's just my anecdotal experience.

Warrior then Druid. I find a good warrior tank is very easy to heal same with a Druid. Paladins still to me seem to be Squishadins DKs are way to Spikey.
