    EVGA SuperNOVA PSU

While the USB monitoring is nice and all, I don't think the world needs adjustable 12v rail power and "OC mode", let alone a 1500 PSU. <.<

Another one of those products they make for bragging rights and not actual use.

PSU in one hand, case of beer in the other, and you're READY FOR THE LAN PARTY.

Personally I think its pretty awesome, though I doubt I could put together a system that would even attempt to push its power capabilities.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's awesome, butttttt EVGA knows just as well as us how little 1500 watters are needed. =|

Yeah, 4x GTX 680 and a 3960x still only come out to 900w. I suppose if one had those, a dual pump double liquid loop and a toaster connected it would make sense. :P

Don't be silly it is clearly made for a system running a crazy overclocked FX-8150 and Quad crossfire 7970 GHZ edition with water-cooling and 20+ fans. Everyone has that kind of system right?

Several of the "computer nerds" in my guild on Rift have the FX-8150 because of the whole "don't want to pay for Intel's equal or slightly better performance."

One of them never shuts up about his 6990 and eyefinity across 3x24" displays setup.

While every company has their duds, EVGA is pretty successful at being consistent.

Pretty sure you can only do twox690s just like 2x590s, however, 2x690s is still 4x680s.

I know, thats why i was wondering. But yeah.. how to draw 1500Watts out of a system? I wouldn't know..

for you guys wondering about power usage, yes a 1500 watt is still needed, for example, the workstation build i am doing for my brother:

    990x @ 4.51Ghz
    FirePro GPU
    Dual 590's for compute

a 1200w just barely covers that, and if we added a third 590, we would need a second PSU, so big PSUs are still relevant, but not for low power gaming computers,

Yep I agree EVGA are a solid company but with this being their 1st PSU (I think) gives me doubts as to if it could stand up to the likes of say (Corsair) for example. It's all very well buffing something up with the glitz and glam but will the chrome really shine? who knows...Looking forward to testing on this bad boi

I wouldn't be surprised if Cyanotical bought one, hahaha :P

    That does look sexy.
