HoN: my problem

So a few years ago my friend (and now roommate) got me into playing hon. I wasn't a huge fan at first but once I learned the heroes I started to really enjoy the game.

A few months ago my roommate got into playing DOTA 2 and I just can't get into it.. I actually prefer hon to dota 2. He says I'm crazy because "s2 sucks and the heroes are so imbalanced".

Am I the only one that just can't get into DOTA 2? I like it but I just feel like hon is more polished. But hey, that's just me.

if you feel like DOTA is unpolished, bear in mind that its still in beta. that being said, i havent played much of either, as i prefer third person versions like smite, LOCO, etc.

I played Dota allstars for countless hours, now I prefer HoN over Dota2.

HoN is more fast paced and like you said far more polished than Dota 2.
(Beta, yes I know)

S2 could do a better job with the new heros but I think HoN as a game
is better than the current Dota 2. Only problem is HoN being f2p and the
countless smurfs and troll accounts in pretty much every game.

I was extremely hyped for Dota 2 when I heard about it but when I actually
got my hands on the beta it felt extremely underwhelming. Not even close to
the level of HoN to be honest.
