Wow, sexy charts. Hopefully nothing bad will happen at the Olympics. I envy everyone who gets to go.
Why am I back here, I don't even play these games anymore

The problem with the internet is parallel to its greatest achievement: it has given the little man an outlet where he can be heard. Most of the time however, the little man is a little man because he is not worth hearing.

    Yay.

First U.S. basketball game isn't until Sunday. That leaves ping-pong to find to watch.

The woman's football in Cardiff is at the stadium about 15 minutes walk from my house... Got back home about 15 minutes ago and I had to park about a million miles away but the atmosphere in the city is really festive, all the pubs have their flatscreens airing it, there is a massive movie screen in the city centre with seating showing it for those who didn't get tickets - and the weather is an absolutely scorching hot (for Wales!) 29C to start it. I can tell if anything interesting happens because you can easily hear the cheers from my house

Just got home from work to catch GB vs New Zealand.

So question to everyone, what events are you all looking forward to the most?

Ex-Mod. Technically retired, they just won't let me quit.

But it seems ESPN isn't covering any ping pong. http://espn.go.com/olympics/summer/2012/tabletennis/

I don't want "news" and "updates" on a sport where I know no one's name. I just want to see some action.

Depending on your location, http://www.nbcolympics.com will be streaming literally every single event from the Olympics for every sport.

I live near where the games are and it's no surprise to see so many people on the streets (more than that of Oxford Street), all I can say is, it's gonna be pretty amazing.

    Cool, saved.

Now if ESPN actually airs the basketball games live, instead of spamming the scores, then showing it later like they did one of their exhibition games, I'll be set.

I love the Olympics so much. There are so many events that I want to follow religiously, but that seems impossible. Haha

You can almost bet that the only games that will be televised will be the US games. Also, there won't be any games on ESPN at all for any sport in the Olympics including basketball. NBC is the sole provider of all things Olympics both online and on television. Their family of networks (NBC, NBCSN, MSNBC, CNBC) will be the only places you can view live events of any kind on television. They didn't pay the IoC $2 billion, almost all of it which will become losses, to left a Disney/ABC network touch their precious.

That's awesome! The games will never be held anywhere near where I live, but I can only imagine how crazy it is in London right now and as the games progress. I bet it can get kind of annoying with all the people on the street, but it's the Olympics, so you have to be happy! haha
