    Installing aftermarket heatsink

So I've seen some tutorials and instructions for how to install an aftermarket heatsink and watching the way the motherboard would bend and distort when you would press down on the fan to snap it on is bothering me.

Is there a better way of doing this than just pressing down on the middle of a big expensive flimsy looking board?

Or am I just a big pussy and worrying about nothing and should just go do what newegg is telling me to.

if you feel your capable enough, you can removed the whole motherboard, and place it on a flat hard surface, and then install the cooler,
only issue with doing this though is it may be more tricky to reinstall it into the case.
