Straying from my shaman

Hey guys. Sure hope this isn't in the wrong forum sub category. But anyhow I have been an Enhancement shaman since BC. I have seen all of our good and bad. although the good outweighs the bad I think I am at my breaking point. Looking and testing on beta I don't see the viability anymore. I think I might switch to Windwalker Monk. Any thoughts?

My thoughts are, roll a Windwalker Monk and if you find it more and engaging then make it your main. No one is going to be able to which you will enjoy more and if you are looking for just a FOTM main there are 2 problems. 1) We are still in beta where they are still doing numbers passes, so nothing is set right now and 2) FOTM classes & specs often get nerfed by the next content patch (if not sooner).

I'm not a FOTM person. I have been an enhance shaman for almost 5 years now. I am just tired of Blizz not focusing on how to fix us. I don't want to change but Windwalker looks like a lot of fun.

From what I played on WW, they are really fun. I also played Enchancement in Wrath and some of Cata, but switched to Ele/Resto. Both are extremely fun to me but have different styles. I agree Rage; make a Windwalker and see for yourself. If you truly do enjoy it more than your Shaman, make it your main and use the Shaman as an alt if you'd like. I might be doing that on my Paladin, switching to a Mistweaver, but I'll see their final design.

There is no reason why you can't use both almost evenly if you like them both.

id advise reroll no matter what. lvling isnt the commitment it used to be so you can always revert your decision later. And you'll have a nice lvl 90 farm toon if worst comes to worst.

im in the same boat as you are somewhat, been playing enhance/resto for a long time and i am just not enjoying enhancement anymore. I thought the change of searing totem would make up for a lot of my frustration towards the spec but it doesnt. I also leveled a monk on beta and i must say it is really fun, the last patch made the energie regen crap but i guess they will sort that out. So my advice would be level a monk if you have not already done it and try it out. After that you can weigh out the pros and cons of both classes and make up your mind. I for sure am rerolling monk

I will do that. Rerolling and trying it is a good idea. I wish it wasn't like this, I really wish blizz would stop being lazy and do a class overhaul for god sakes. We have the exact same rotation barring the new cds. I really think I will be a monk come mop.
