    Final Questions before Ordering

    Hi guys,

I've just got a few more questions before I order parts. This is my first build so I'm full of questions haha.

I'm debating whether to keep the SSD in my build or not, but my build as of now is this (a few of the prices aren't accurate)):

    MoBo: ASRock Z77 – $99.99
CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge - $229.99
    RAM: G.Skill 1600MHz 2x4GB – $39.99
    GPU: Sapphire Radeon 7850 – $239.99
    HDD: Samsung Spinpoint F3 500GB – $79.99
    PSU: XFX ProSeries 450W – $62.99
    Case: NZXT Tempest 210 – $54.99
    SSD: SAMSUNG 830 Series MZ-7PC128B/WW 2.5" 128GB -$144.99
    Heatsink: COOLER MASTER Hyper 212 - $29.99
DVD Drive: ASUS 24X DVD Burner - $18.99

It would be much appreciated if you could tell me if all these would work together.

My other question has to do with warranties. I was a little confused with newegg. Does every part come with a manufacturer warranty, and are there any parts worth buying the extended warranty for?

Just one more thing, if any of you have the same Samsung 830 Series 128GB SSD, could you tell me the loading speed increase after putting WoW on it?

Thank you very much for all the help thus far!

That motherboard should have something like "Pro 4/Extreme4/etc" at the end of it, do you happen to know which type of ASRock Z77 board it is?

I'm slightly wondering about how you'll do with that PSU, but you shouldn't push it to its limits with just a 7850 and i5-3570K, just don't do too much heavy OCing and you should be fine.

I have the Crucial m4 128GB SSD and I can tell you, back when I was still playing WoW, the load times increased dramatically and flying around in a packed Stormwind (Zul'jin - US high pop server) no longer had the random little spurts of it loading anything, stuff was pretty much instant.

I must say, I hate the Cooler Master Hyper 212+ with a burning personal passion. It took a friend and I quite a while to figure out how the hell to install it a couple years back, and when we figured it out, it still took yet longer to get it right. Suffice to say it is a bitch to install, but frankly, it is very tough to find better for the money and not something to take your SSD out of the equation for to afford something better, either.

See my sig. Corsair A70. Comes with a second fan, much easier to install, pretty much an amazing alternative at the same price point as the 212.

I would personally get a 520 or 550W PSU to give yourself a little bit larger of a cushion, but otherwise a nice build.

Also, look into Low Profile RAM (also in my sig) just so the large heatsinks are being obnoxious and in the way.

I'm sorry, it's the ASrock Z77 pro4, I forgot to include that haha. I wasn't planning on OCing at all, so I think the PSU should be fine.

Would low profile ram make it significantly easier to install it with the heatsink? But the ram I have would still be able to be installed right?

And do you guys have any idea about my warranty question in the original post? Thanks for the replies though!

All depends if the heatsinks on the RAM itself are small. Some of the bigger heatsinks out there though, notably ones like the ThermalRight Silver Arrow, Noctua NH-D14, and I think the Corsair A70, would have trouble with obnoxiously tall RAM heatsinks.

Can you link which RAM you're looking at?

Regardless, here's some perfectly good low-profile RAM that should do the trick:

Edit: As for warranties, I have none on any of my parts, as most of the higher quality manufacturers already put 2-5 year warranties on their parts, by which time you may very well be eyeing some upgrades, anyways.

Thank you for all the ram links and warranty advice. But do you think I would be fine just stickin with

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231422

If not I'll just go with one of your choices.

That one actually has no heatsink but is working at only 1333MHz and is "value"-binned RAM, which I am not so inclined to suggest you buy, when for a mere $5 more, you can get higher-binned, more trusted RAM.

Also I am a little shocked it says it is only compatible with the chipsets it says (Compatible M/B Chipset:
    Intel P55
    lntel H55
    Intel X48
    Intel P45
    Intel X38
    AMD 890 Series
    AMD 790 Series)

I'd just buy one of the ones I linked and rest easy knowing it is most certainly supported.

Thank you so much for the help since I'm a complete noobie.

I durped. The Mushkin Enhanced SilverLine is only 1333MHz as well, but alas, I do use 1333MHz RAM myself, so it's fine. Mine are running at 1333 though because I was given 1.65v Corsair XMS3 instead of the 1.5v stuff. /oops
