Why isnt eggnog sold year round @_@

Most places don't carry it year-round because most people know how bad it is for you so try and save it for special occasions. I've only ever found it in a store in the summer, ONCE.

Make your own, it's really really easy.
Eggs, heaps of sugar and whatever liquor you might want in it.

I like custard and I like alchohol, not sure about them together though. We don't have it here in the UK, and if we do I've never seen/heard of it!

Buy extra cartons of it while it's in season and stick them in the freezer. It'll keep through the rest of the year until it comes on sale again.

Slightly inconvenient for satisfying sudden cravings though, as it'll take several hours to defrost.

Then I grew up, hit the proper age, tried it, and I'm sold.

Either version is still great though. Toss a bit of nutmeg on top and you're set.

I know a few folks who don't like it/have no interest. (Most of said people are Jewish. lol)

I guess I can understand due to its overwhelmingly sweet flavor and thickness.

Around here (Pittsburgh PA, US) i can go to Walmart or one of the areas stores like Giant Eagle/Shop n' Save/Foodland and usually find eggnog any time of year. I know Walmart here always carries it. There is usually only 1 brand of it and maybe just a single row of it on the shelves in the cooler. I have even spotted it in some gas stations with a decent drinks cooler right by the milk, well outside of the holiday season.
