I suppose. Soon, though, we're going to have to hold DPS to prevent killing her before P2. Which we tried one week (since, in LFR, it bugs out the fight and Suen just melee's the entire time), but in HC it is quite obnoxious to have no comets
If you want to eek out more boss DPS, can just keep AS unglyphed and focus boss and let the cons/AS cleave work down the beast passively. t90 cleaves as well, if you choose to.
Yup, the only beast I focus nowadays would be the last one, but usually I just make the last one despawn, so I keep the 2 first beasts on my for as long as possible and just skip the third beast. Found this to be the optimal solution atleast for me. Having the 2 first alive does not really matter much as I can still just tunnel the boss without bothering cleaving them. As long as I skip the third beast I dont really have to waste any boss dps on the beasts.
Why is the new BH stronger? Doesn't the glyph work as it does on live 'cept that it removes our self-healing?
I still don't quite get why we get these nerfs (BH and Alabaster Shield glyphs) while Monks can pull as much Raid Healing as we can while being able to outDPS us by a mile in the process. Losing BH really pisses me off.
it's stronger in that it now targets the raider with the lowest health - ie. a smart heal for someone who actually needs it, as opposed to live where it overheals quite nicely.
it's weaker in that it removes our self healing from SoI
pros/cons etc.
also i agree with monks - nerf them to the ground baby!
I see. Not that up to date. Guess it can work for fights where we don't take that much of a beating. Still don't quite get why our raid healing is the only one getting targeted.
Alright, thanks guys. Guess I'm gonna stick with the Pala then in 5.4. Was my first choice anyways.
Prot Pala just feels and plays alot smoother than DK does. If they would only add a "non-zonable" AoE slow like chillblains :-/
Anyways. Did you notice, Firefly went to Raids & Dungeons again and didn't get banned. I think that deserves recognition! :-)

I need someone to help me figure out how much Holy Power per minute (and second) you have at 18k haste (42.35%). Or if someone has the formula where I can fill in the haste value. Need it for a future post that I'm coming up with.
I didnt even get an infraction yet. It is amazing.

I agree, which is a shame, as my DK has long been my favorite alt to tank with, probably because they were the pioneers of AM, before the rest of us got it. However, now that AM has been rolled out to all classes, the prototype model is showing its age Poor scaling, poor vengeance interaction, lack of meaningful raid utility or cooldowns, and poor stat scaling outside of mastery means that the class that WAS the frontrunner for skillcap as a tank is now seriously hamstrung by tradition.
They're still great for soloing, and CMs, and 5mans, and PVP too, but progression raiding is just a poor fit for a DK, especially in 10m. 25 can make use of them far easier, but blood just has so many shortcomings in 10m. Sad, because my DK has 310 flying (miss the days where ICC drakes gave that skill for free!) and the CM set/portals, so that's a lot of convenience to miss out on, but man...trading it in for a Brewmaster feels like getting rid of that 100k mile car from 8 years ago and hopping into the new model.
Monks have so much versatility, damage, raid utility, mobility and one of the best AM systems ever. There is no comparison. I do feel a slight lack of CDs for when I get into oh-shit moments compared to a BDK or ProtPal, but that's likely because the latter 2 classes have an ungodly amount of those abilities rather than the monks not having enough. Only downside is now I've gotta get good flying and do CMs on the monk
Paladin is still the best choice in 10s, hands down, even if there are not cheesable debuffs to abuse. But, there have always been, and it's safe to assume always will be something that we can bubble/bop off. Paladin has the best and most complete toolkit, lacking really only a proper gap closer and a reliable snare (come 5.4), but with LH and the new Glyph of Burden, we can make do with proper placement/timing of snares, and still have the rest of every other tool in the shed. It's also the most fluid, most skill-based and rewarding AM system that exists. Yes, I realize I'll catch heat for the skill comment, but think before you speak: I'm purely referring to the fact that our AM "window" is only 3 seconds long. Shuffle is able to sit at 100% uptime with a castsequence macro, and EB uptimes are easily in the 80-100% in CURRENT tier. DS/Blood shield can be used either before, or after an attack (depending on the need), plus with passives like Purg and WotN (and 2min Pact, 1min VB+tap/DS, etc), you get a lot of bailouts on BDK without any keystrokes. Rage-tanks admittedly I am rusty on, but as I recall Protwar basically boils down to keep up SBar, block if there's lots of shit. Bears can dodge, press a button to get more dodge, or just facetank with armor cap and heal up after; quintessential meatshield.
For as much as it seems like DKs got the short end of the stick this expansion, Paladins got the commensurately long end of it. And to think, I almost main-swapped paladin to DK going into 5.0...

Are related...? :P
I plead the fifth!
No, the avatar/sig is just the scrapbot being retarded and infracting me for having a sig that's 2 pixels over the limit (yes).
The pornography one was because some dude was asking around for a working bot to farm BGs and, well, I like to mislead botters.
So, somewhat OT for this thread, but it pertains to our t16 2pc.
Since the Prot gloves are better itemized than the Ret ones (lol, that's a first), it got me thinking...if you were to use 2 pieces of Prot tier as Ret (hands+shoulder/chest probably, since it's accuracy/mastery IIRC) would the bonus work during the cast of GoAK? As in, would you get healed up for 200% of the damage taken during the THIRTY seconds of GoAK active? That could be insane for PVP!
I feel like such an angel compared to you two, I've only got:
