With every MMO on the horizon players tend to become rabid fanboys/fangirls of the new shiny. How many times have an MMO been hyped up by the fans more than the developers (the developers need to create a certain amount of hype it's called advertisement) treating the game as the messiah of MMOs.

Can we stop? Can we focus on if we like the game or not and enjoy or move on? Stop the trolling on forums prophesying that their game will deliver us into the garden of Eden.
