    GPU sale, should I buy?

MSI GeForce GTX 570 1280MB PhysX
PCI-Express 2.0, "Twin Frozr", Plus a free copy of Borderlands 2

Is on sale for 1500 DKK.

    In comparison
    Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB GDDR5
    PCI-Express 3.0, DVI-I, DVI-D, native-HDMI, DisplayPort, 860MHz

Is on sale for 1700 DKK.

Which would you buy? (ignore Borderlands though, strictly focus on the GPU)

    Here is a benchmark comparison.

Imo Wait for the 660TI if your budget allows it, Thats what im doing for my new build and i also live in Denmark. The Price for the 660TI should be around 2200-2500 DKK

The 7850, less power/heat, easy to overclock for increased performance. No point in buying old tech for a new system when the price difference isn't more than this.

IMO get the 7850, no point getting older generation hardware.

Wrong. Drivers are give and take the same nowadays (if anything the 12.6 AMD driver is more stable than the 305 nVidia driver. The 7850 performs on par or better than the GTX 580.

    Also wrong.

exuse me mr budgo butler log but you are wrong

AMD IS budget oriented and the drivers and electronics of the cards support this

    you budgo

why is the AMD high end range aimed at a audience that is not elite as the NVIDIA expencive cards HMmmmm?

stick with Intel and NVIDIA and never look back

    also support for 3d monitors!

400 bucks is a budget after all. It is a fairly high budget, but a budget nonetheless.

Can't really take you seriously since you have Zero clue as to what you are talking about. 7850 is new tech compared to a gtx 570.

OT: Go with a 7850 as stated before it consumes less power and gives off less heat and it has newer tech.

http://www.amd.com/us/products/techn...ages/hd3d.aspx What AMD supports 3D, this can't be!

What is this elite that uses Nvidia cards? Pro-gamers? They use whatever they get from their sponsors/teams.

new tech and not even over $800 bucks

are they trying to kill themselves?

also further proving my point NVIDIA dominance over AMD

yeah a crippeled form of 3d that has not the standard to support a majority and games

I mean u have to hack / drivers / mod to get 3d working on AMD

or is there somthing new that i do not know about

edit: HD3D hey not much support yet for it, NVIDIAs been around for a while now so more support - with lightboost

This. Oh so much this. It is a better card than the GTX 570 in pretty much every way possible.

And some games get better performance with AMD cards.... Seriously are you talking out your ass right now>? Here Benchmarks don't lie.

yes tbh its only my opinion, im not talking out of my ass

the fact is that amd used to be king.. i have owned those cards

but now NVIDIA is king im just getting your panties in a twist and having a little fun

yes you can own a top of the range AMD that supports higher resolutions (streatched over eyefinity) for a cheaper price (it may run cooler too)

560's and upwards are really the way to go for single monitor and 3d setups and the better 600 range if you can afford it now or wait till a 660 670 comes down in price.

hey sometimes it doesnt really matter what matters is that any recent videocard would be a GREAT upgrade from this year(s) old one and I wont mind if its 2 fps difference in this game or in that.. what benchmarks are telling us

OP: MSI got a custom cooler and dont worry about the ram difference
