5.0 tomorrow?

I doubt the patch will be before the opening cinematic is published at gamescom (16th of August) (they would have to patch it in later or implement it encrypted till published with the risk that it could leak).
16th is a thursday so patchday could be earliest 22nd (21st in NA)

at least I hope it is not really 2 weeks before release^^

This. People have only even been able to log into the PTR for more than three minutes at a time for a couple days now, the Theramore event hasn't been tested whatsoever, and it's still a good 3 weeks until the normal timeline for a pre-expansion patch. No way in hell is 5.0 dropping tomorrow.

Let's be fair. Theramore was tested (likely unintentionally) for about an hour or so in beta before Blizzard re-locked it.

Anyway, 5.0 dropping tomorrow is about as likely as Blizzard implementing a character based on one of mine: The chance exists, but it's so small it's basically indistinguishable from zero without an advanced computer crunching the numbers, so you shouldn't hold your breath.

If you can get that blue it'd be nice. All they said was that the launch event would last 2 weeks. It's an 8hr downtime tomorrow. That's usually a patch day...

no way, ptr is still broken, u ever try to kill a warrior with second wind? lol impossible. They need to buff the damage a bit and fix a few other things, i say another 3 weeks of ptr, then 5.0 will come out.. still gunna be a while..

It won't be 2 weeks before. It will be like a month. The even may only run in the 2 weeks up to it, but it certainly won't be just 2 weeks prior.

UPDATE: Yep, the extended downtime seems to be for Patch 1.5.0 for StarCraft 2. It was only mentioned on July 26th (Last thursday) it was coming soon, and here it is!

So, those with SC2, start updating! This includes the long awaited StarCraft Arcade, which means that Blizzard All-Stars (formerly Blizzard DOTA) is likely coming soon... And they added a TON of functionality to the Galaxy Editor, if you are a map maker.
