Looking for that old playstation 1 game

The game I am looking for and can not remember....

It takes place in a castle and you are the owner who sets up traps to capture treasure hunters and bandits. You can offer them to some kind of artifact inside the castle/mansion and gain power. Also it starts with you beeing one of the guys invading the castle, and after killing the owner of it, you become the new master.

The traps would be placed in some kind of tactical map overview, and were spikes, random swinging blades and such. The second stage of fighting off invaders sets you in first person running through this mansion or castle having to lure the guys into the traps.


Another thing was one save took like 7-10 memory card slots, which was pretty unusual for a ps1 game.

I think you're talking about the Deception series. I used to play Kagero: Deception 2.

Hraklea is correct. It is Tecmo's Deception Series.

its not one of those, but tecmo rings a bell, thanks for your replies. I will try to get the games on ebay. im so happy
