multiple professions question

I have started to get multiple characters at max level. My main is a rogue with Engineering and JC back when I raided pretty hardcore. I took a break and got a druid to max level with SoR.

I can't decide if I want to drop engineering and have my Rogue be JC and Mining while my Druid is Herb and Alch OR have Rogue keep JC and ENG and the druid be Mining and Herb so I have farming character.

I don't really raid anymore so I don't know if it is worth being a JC/ENG.

Also, I haven't really read up on professions in MoP so I don't know if engineering is worth having anymore.

If you are looking for profit, I would consider dropping Engineering for something like LW or BS or even Enchanting. Turning your druid in a farm char seems to be a good idea, instant flight form and all making it the perfect farm character. You could also consider Mining/Skinning on the druid
