Problems with my GTX 680..

Counter-Strike 1.6 of all games is unplayable. It stutters like crazy all the time. Not that I play this game that much any more, but it's still something I like to play with some friends every now and then. I've read that people are having stutters in all kind of games with their 680 but none in such a low req game like cs 1.6.

My specs are:

MSI GeForce GTX 680 Twin Frozr III
i5 2500k
Asus P8P67 Deluxe
8gb Corsair Dominator DDR3 1600mhz


I've tried the drivers that came bundled with the card, newest drivers and beta drivers. All with no success. Didn't have this problem with my Radeon 6970.

Have you swapped through the different renderers in the game's options? I haven't played CS 1.6 in ages, but I know their should be 3 different render options. Software, hardware, and something else.

It may just be OpenGL not playing nice with new hardware. After all, the game is over 13 years old with no major updates since Valve took over the game.
