Why does everyone make fun of the Templar

It seems like all the classes and especially Lyndon always make fun of him. Even Leah cracked jokes at him once or twice and my wizard is always poking fun at him. The part where she says he has no friends in the order was hilarious. Why does everyone make fun of him so much is it because hes about boring as hell? If I couldnt load him up with tons of MF I would always use Lyndon because hes a lot of fun to have around.

Hoping they add legendary bows with high MF in the patch that upgrades legendaries. I so wanna bring Lyndon with me instead of him. Although that charge, knockback with a heal used to save my ass Id rather have Lyndon with me cracking jokes and hitting on me.

Anyway. I've learned to like both the scoundrel and templar. Scoundrel's philosophy go deep and templar is nowhere near as rigid minded as his holy comrades are known for. He actually admit his mistakes and take humble approaches, something extremely rare among them.

Quick thing - In D3 the Templars aren't Paladins they are Templars. Difference being that they are much more aggresive and zealotic - compared to the Paladin Order of Sanctuary, they have a much strighter beleif and enforce brainwashing-through-beatings among other cruel things.

Or the Inquisition from 40K - yes. Usually he'd be listed just fine as a Paladin, but the Paladins in Sanctuary (Or the Diablo franchise) are much mor zen than the regular "SMITE THE EVIL!" type fantasy paladins.
