what are the key differences of WoW and GW2?

Whether its a good thing or bad thing, what are some things that seperates GW2 from the worlds most popular mmorpg ?

This thread will be closed in 3...2....1

But really, it will. Even if it doesn't become a WoW vs GW2 thread, it will be closed because it has very high potential to become that.

    Stickies exist for a reason.

I think the biggest difference is...

Somehow, the orcs from WoW were able to grow horns and fur. That way they could attack a whole new group of humans.

WoWs an old outdated rehash Easymode and we dont really know what GW2 is for another couple weeks and then another couple weeks for people to max out and see if there's more to do than Create Alts

A thread like this can only end in disaster.

Hm. Might be easier to list the similarities.

They are MMOs that let you play a costumizable character out of multiple classes and races, set in an explorable fantasy world where you battle creatures, go into instanced dungeons in groups and do a little PvP once in a while. And that's about it.

You know unlike SWTOR that had WoW written all over its licence from the very start, for instance.

Constructively criticism is fine, but game bashing isn't welcome in the forums. Infracted. -Edge

OP, read the stickies, and one major rule (which I'm surprised isn't in the subforum rules sticky) is no game v game comparisons.

But I love the water combat and the maps are really well done some of the best in the MMO market. Of course this is just my opinion as I think WoW and it's many clones are some of the worse game designs that have been created in the history of MMO's, again just my point of view.

I think gw2's underwater combat is FAR FAR FAR superior to wows. Not sure how you can seriously call it horrible.

I might actually like Underwater combat in GW2. A little bit. Which is very rare.

Going to close this thread. As these topics tend to bring a lot of open flaming. Not really useful.

For the sake of information, we have a giant sticky thread at the top of this forum. Please read it or seek out the overwhelming amount of information available on ye ole' internet.

    Thanks & smooches!
