Usually one tank shouldn't be able to use their 4 set CD on every single nucleus. Only blood DK's have a CD short enough to do that, which means you have to alternate. Thus, you shouldn't be able to use the blood tank's CD on both the roll, and the amalg tanks CD on every nucleus, unless one of them is a blood DK :s.

So, i suspect if you're having problems with nucleus healing, and therefore, needing ANY cool downs for it, then your tank is doing it wrong, they should have the amalgamation down to 500k, at 4 seconds, the amalg should be dragged to plate, picking up the bloods left on the same spot. The dps kill it, and you only get 1 2 pulses from the nucleus, thereby eliminating the need to use cool downs except those which are spare, so all CDs can be used on the rolls, so roll 1 you can have spirit link, barrier, hpriest hymn. Roll 2 you can have spirit link, barrier, Hpriest hymn, Spriest hymn. This makes the rolls trivial.

A tip for bloods is to have your amalg tank throw out the occasional bit of aoe aggro, it's far preferable to have a premature stack or 2 on the amalg than lose a healer.

Also, with all the nerfs, you could very easily not do a 6th amalg, but nuke with hero, pots etc on the 5th lift, making blood build up a non-issue , if you're rolls are at least half successful.

Ideal scenerio for you (imo) is only to use tank CD's for amalg 9 stacks and use all healer CD's in or just after a roll.

If you find yourself in need of blowing cooldowns for a 9 stack amalg then you are killing it too slowly after it gets angry. Speed this up and save the CD's.

Imagine how much easier the fight would be if you could barrier and SLT a roll, run to the plate and hymn to clear off debuffs. Ideally you could use the disc hymn too after the last roll to get yourself onto that 3rd plate in the best possible shape. From here if you keep ontop of debuffs then you can use the tank and a dps to nuke bloods fulltime and forgo random deaths due to kiters losing aggro.

You'd be best off hymning DURING the SLT, as the SLT prevents any overhealing and the healing from the hymn will smash away any leftover debuffs while topping the raid ;p.
