Why is Chi Wave being considered better than Chi Burst. According to the tool tips, Chi Burst not only deals more damage to the target, but heals more as well. It damages all targets in it's path as opposed to only 4, and the same goes for it's healing. I understand there is a 1 second cast time but that doesn't seem to be of any importance seeing the GCD is 1 second as well. Any light that could be shed on the matter would be appreciated.
It requires careful positioning in order to aim the burst correctly and smart targeting to have it travel through the highest amount of targets. Generally not something you have time for as a melee dps. While Chi Wave can just be cast on yourself and then you can forget about it. The damage of any of the 3 talents is negligible, it's mostly about the healing. If you don't mind losing a lot of dps while moving around the room trying to position yourself for a good chi burst, then by all means go for it
That said, it could be useful on certain encounters, like the final phases of garajal and elegon. But my experience sofar has been that enrage times are tight enough that you should not be wasting chi on non-damaging abilities unless as last resort.
So SimC updated their Normal and Heroic T14 gear sets and it appears that Crit is now the best stat to have:
Tier 14 Normal:
Crit = 6595
Haste = 2593
Mastery = 2034
Most gem slots are Agi/Crit with a few Agi/Hit for the blue slots
Tier 14 Heroic:
Crit = 8035
Haste = 3691
Mastery = 3047
I couldn't find anything on EJ or here as to the reason behind the massive 180 on the value of haste though.
And look at the Stats tab.
There's a gearlist showing reforges and on some items, it's actually reforging haste->crit Thanks for pointing that out, might go have a look.
Totally unrealistic unfortunately, as there's no raid encounter except maybe garajal where you can use FoF on cooldown...
Basing a simcraft profile on ability usage that is not realistic on 5 out of 6 raid encounters seems kind of silly.
stone guard - constantly needing to move due to pools/frost traps
feng - nature phase - less than 25 seconds between epicenter
feng - shadow phase - less than 25 seconds between shield phase
spirit kings - qiang - not usable during flanking order
spirit kings - meng - not usable during demented phase
spirit kings - subetai - unlikely to sync up with sleight/pillage/flanking order
elegon - unusable on energy charges, protectors
will of the emperor - unusable on courages, strengths, less than 25 seconds between devastating combos
So this reforging is accurate for:
feng's arcane and fire phases
spirit king - zian
I really doubt you will run into capping issues on anything except garajal.
The practical value of the 2piece bonus is pretty much 0 on most encounters, and thus the practical value of a crit reforging is 0 as well.

Added a bit about Xuen (scaling and abilities).
Is there a definitive list for Trinkets for us?
I'm currently using Relic of Xeun & Searing Words. What should I be replacing SW with?
5585 509 terror in the mists
5373 502 bottle of infinite stars
5017 476 relic of xuen
4955 496 terror in the mists
4770 489 bottle of infinite stars
4668 476 bottle of infinite stars
4372 483 terror in the mists
4238 489 jade bandit figurine
4183 463 searing words
3836 450 zen alchemist stone
3704 463 windswept pages
3476 463 flashing steel talisman
2892 470 coren's cold chromium coaster
2860 442 gerp's perfect arrow
TL;DR: HC RAID > DMC > OTHER RAIDS > RAID TRASH > HC 5MAN > BREWFEST
Where does this list come from? Some values seem really strange. E.g. Bottle 476 -> Bottle 489 = 102, while Bottle 489 -> Bottle 502 = 603. And Xuen / Jade Bandit Figurine seem a bit low compared to others, mostly because of the huge ICD of Terror and the suboptimal stats on Bottle.
Xuen dynamically scales with your stats correct? If that is the case does it matter if its summoned before/after hero/lust is popped?
