    HD 7950 Bios Flashing

Perhaps someone here would be able to answer my question.

I am going to attempt to flash my Sapphire HD 7950 OC edition to the 7970 bios. (before anyone mentions why I bought the OC edition in the first place... it was the only option available with a dual fan cooler at release.. that was still in stock) There are a few options available for the 7970 bios with a 1000/1450, 950/1425, and 2 for 925/1375.

I am assuming that the 1000/1450 is the GHZ edition, 950/1425 is the OC edition, with the 925/1375 being stock versions. First, should I even bother to attempt to flash to the GHZ edition speeds? Does anyone think it could actually be compatible? Otherwise, since my 7950 is the OC edition, should I use the 7970 OC edition bios or just toss the stock speed bios on and OC myself if I want to.

What is the point to even flash a 7970 bios on to your 7950?

It won't unlock any additional shaders, and if you don't use a dual-BIOS switch and something goes wrong, your warranty is void.

There's no point in flashing the card. It's not going to enable anything special. Simply overclocking the card (if you can) to 7970 speeds will do the same exact thing with none of the risk.
