    LOTRO - nice surpise

Logged back into LOTRO again after losing interest when it first came out and am very impressed with the game in every way. I'm definitely hooked - there is a ton to do and many different ways to level - the points store is a cool addition as well.

Question - does it stay interesting at mex level?

I don't know about max level.

Lower levels it's OK. But the atrocious lag is really starting to drive me away. That and the combat; LotRO has one of the worst combat systems I've ever seen. The torrid amount of animation lock and just "float" while hacking away at an enemy are just meh.

Story-wise it's still up there but that's mainly due to utilizing Tolkien.

My biggest gripe with LotrO was the store, the many quests and zones which required you paying for them, the graphics, the combat, the model animations and while I do realise that having a huge world is all nice and immersive - some of the zones were just *too* big.

Amazing sig, done by mighty Lokann
