JC/BS, but should I go back to Mining for MoP?

Ok basically around Firelands I came into some gold (rare pet from the Exotic Satchel) and powerleveled BS so I could have the two "best" professions for a Prot Warrior, BS and JC (was Mining/JC originally). It's worked great for me now, except I have no way to get the materials I need for JC - in Dragon Soul this doesn't matter since they have the gem clusters, but I'm kind of worried going into Mists because I won't have any way to get ore to use and I just know that some douchebags are going to corner the market and charge insane amounts of gold for all of the ore and gems (and gold is always hard for me to come by), especially if beta is anything to go by (blue gems going for 5k+). I'm aware of the whole Harmony thing that you can buy ore with, but this would add yet another thing that I would have to spend a ton of time farming just to keep my professions viable (I'm more concerned about JC than BS at this point in time anyway since BS gear is less than heroic gear, no equal to raid gear like in Cata).

So basically I'm wondering if I should drop BS and pick up Mining again, and powerlevel it before MoP hits just so I can actually have a steady supply of ore coming in when I start MoP (and a way to make money too) without having to farm Harmony things just to stay viable. On the downside, I'd be giving up a really good crafting profession for a lackluster gathering profession, but I can't think of any other way with being fairly poor to fund my JC and BS endeavors short of lots of mindless grinding when I'll already have enough on my plate with leveling, gearing and getting faction rep (although I suppose I'll be collecting Harmony as I do all of those things), so I basically couldn't even really start on my professions until I got all of those things done.

    Any ideas?

    Its not.
    Really its not.
Beta listings are always so insanely overpriced its not even funny.
(And ive been in every single beta if that means anything for ya)

    Now ontopic:
You could drop either, yes, but JC is getting weird primary/secondary gems as our statboost thats rather annoying.
The discovery is becoming a spell that creates a random recipe (so no more daily quest farming) thus no real reason to keep JC on a mainchar.
Now, what i would do in your situation is picking up JC on an alt (atleast lvl80 since you'll need that for MoP JC) and drop JC on your main.
Pick up mining on your main, level that up and use whatever you mine to level up JC on that alt.
I did the same yesterday and haven't spend more then 400g thusfar on the JC char (including training costs) so its perfectly doable without spending thousands of gold (currently on 400skill ish).

Now, im in a rather weird situation due to workhours tho, so if you only play during primetime mining on your main char could mean fighting over veins alot etc but since i wont be able to play before 10PM im guessing it wont be THAT crowded for me.

You can use whatever you mine to either levelup JC on that alt to 600 or lvl up BS on your main or sell the ore.
    Whatever you prefer.
Gives you something to do while waiting for the prepatch as well.

Oh for goodness sake just level a dual gatherer. It cna be done in 1-2 weeks. Plenty of money to be made from bs in any event. Its a bit starling you put so much effort into leveling an expensive profession yet you are poor beayse you havent utilised them quite easily to make yourself money. If you had then you would have a sufficient amount not to have to worry about gems. Try and take advnatage of professions by understanding how they are used and then you wont have to fret over such non issues again.

In my defense part of it was because I wasn't allowed to sell the epic gems I got in DS (guild rules), so I couldn't make money that way, and all the crafting materials (the fire things from T12 and the corrupted things from T13) were automatically put into the gbank so I could't craft those items to sell either when they were still worth something.
