They're subterranean, they're not supposed to look all cute and fluffy. I intend to make either a Ranger or a Warrior Asura whom looks entirely ugly in every-shape-and-form, sharp teeth 'n' all.
The amount of detail ArenaNet puts into this game is amazing, even the little things are covered. I dont want to play an MMO anymore that has me on a bandwagon/carrot chasing machine/gear grind.
I want to hop on a game, and do this sort of stuff. My opinion is that it is the small things that attract people to play.
The problem when you make a game F2P is systems need to be designed around annoying players enough to pay. Some games are less annoying than others, but at their core they need to give you a reason to spend money. Burying pay-to-win mechanics under an initial layer of skill-to-win, providing advantages that become required for competitive play, roadblocks or surprisingly reduced game functionality tucked underneath paid barriers that weren't obvious when you started.
Taste is like your butt, it is.. divided.
So asura are cute for some, and ugly for some. Now, enough of this hate already D:
Do you know what i think about your thread OP?
"Dont gain the world and loose your soul
wisdom is better than silver and gold"
Norn ftw! I get to be a druid and a hunter! Yay for pets lol.
Well I'll be rocking an Asura Guardian when I get the game on the 28th
Let's also not forget the race disparity. There's only 5 races in GW2, so you have more chances to dislike them all than, say, WoW, that has 12 races now (playable, of course). Once GW2 hits 10 races, I'm sure we'll see a more unique variety.
Next patch: GW2 introduces 5 new races, all non-humanoids who find it necessary to war against all humanoids. Thus, factions emerge and the fiight for Tyria (the world, not the continent) begins. WvW is outside of lore
i'm almost certain there are children born with birth defects that look exactly like this race. if an artist made a 3d model of that defect this is what it would like.
