Question regarding being up leveled to 80 in pvp

    Heeeelloo fellows,

I got a qeustion about geting up leveled to 80 in pvp.
Do you get all skills/spells aviable in pvp?
If so, when you choose them on your spellbar and leave the battleground and then go do pvp again do you need to choose all your spells your want again?

All weapon skills are unlocked for all weapons available to your class in sPvP (both the Mists and any of the battlegrounds). WvW shares skill progress with PvE.

The PvP where you level is WvWvW, where you still have to have the weapons and unlock the skills by using the weapons and traits open as you level. SPvP does not provide experience.

"Getting into the fight at any level – You’ll be able to jump into WvW right at level 2 with the same character you just created, no need to make a separate character. When you get in you’ll be at the portal at the entrance to your server’s Borderland. Your stats will automatically be adjusted to appropriate stats for a level 80 character if you’re under level 80 so this allows everyone to be on somewhat of an even footing. Granted that level 80 character is going to have a lot more skills, Traits, and experience, you won’t be instantly killed by the level 80, but they will have a clear advantage. Though this doesn’t mean you’re worthless, you just can’t expect to go up against a level 80 at level 2 and win. They’ve mentioned that one-vs-one fights aren’t too common so it shouldn’t be all that much of an issue. While in WvW players and mobs will give you XP and loot that is appropriate to your level when killed so you can level all the way to 80 while in WvW. When you jump out of WvW you take everything you’ve gained with you back into the PvE world."

This will be cool, on launch day people will mostly be within reasonable levels during WvW so the disparity wont get out of hand, hopefully. No doubt there will be some attempts at that killtagging thing that people did when Cata launch just to be first but stuff in that sense should be a minor concern

I only remember Athene doing it, but you pay/bribe other people to let you 'tag' a mob to get yr foot in the door for exp and let the employees kill them for you while you hop around tagging as many as possible, he got to 85 from 80 in an absurdely short amount of time without ever leaving one zone.

Just to be clear- I'm not even sure if this is possible in this game, but there will be some kind of powerlevelling process undoubtedly, even if it is good old traditional questing on speed

There is no mob tagging in the game.

In WvW your character shares your PvE progression, his level is boosted to 80 so you still have level 80 base stats and health. Gear and everything else is your pve stuff. You gain experience in WvW and can level up there, quite fast actually.

sPvP there is no experience rewarded. Your character is boosted to level 80 while in the mists, which is the sPvP hub. There are vendors that sell you all of the gear, everyone has access to the same gear, you can customize it all you want through runes which you attach to the gear. You can never get stronger gear for it, everyone has the same power level. All weapon skills and traits and other skills are unlocked, they are saved so they don't reset when you leave. It's basically a separated game mode. You can gain glory ranks, which are kind of like levels only you don't get any stronger with them, you just get access to cooler looking skins for your gear, though it's still the same power level as everyone else. Glory also makes matchmaking better so you get matched with more equally experienced players.

To expand, there is no mob tagging because everyone gets credit for killing a mob. regardless of who hit it first.

Mob grinding is also the least effective way to level by a longshot so anyone planning to powerlevel and get world first level 80 would be not so smart to try that tactic. It won't work like Athene did in WoW.
