    PC upgrade noob question(s)

I've been using the same pc for something like 6-7 years, and obviously its getting outdated, could play most games on low up till recently it's just sort of dying. so I was thinking till I could afford a whole new pc I could drop like $250 into it and bandaid it a bit, but I'm not tech savvy, I'm aware I can't just throw any old thing into my mobo, and couldn't figure out how to tell if something was compatible or not, so I was hoping someone could eyeball the parts and my mobo's spec real quick and say yes/no and if no and you're feeling generous tell me something that might fit? just going for a new cpu/gpu and ram for now.
I think this is my mobo's specs(Again, not too tech savvy) http://imgur.com/WI2HZ
    This is the CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103727
    RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820231122
    GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161379

Thanks in advance, and I hope I have not broken any rules posting this.

It looks like you would need a new CPU and motherboard, so $250 can't go there. Your GPU is a little bit slow, so I would spend the $250 on a 7850 GPU and 212+ cooler so that you can overclock your CPU. That should hold you for a while.

I think you misread my OP, those are not my GPU/CPU/RAM, those are the ones I want to buy to upgrade my existing (not posted) gpu/cpu/ram, I was wondering if those 3 links would fit into my motherboard that I think I linked the specs of?

The motherboard you have right now is very outdated, nothing you linked will work with outside of the graphics card, but it would be a complete waste. I'm willing to bet you will need to buy a new power supply anyway, so I would just save up another $250 or so and put it towards a nice budget system.

Oh, it was phrased like those were your old parts. Your motherboard doesn't appear to support that CPU, going by this list. That GPU is not great, at least get a 6770 / 7770.

So I couldn't buy just the gpu to get -some- improvement out of my system overall? It would take me a bit of time to save up 500, but having a tid bit of improvement would be good enough for a while, you made it seem like upgrading to that linked gpu from my geforce 8600 gt would not improve FPS at all?

You could, but a 7770 is $7 more and offers 30-50% more performance.

That GPU will work on the motherboard I linked, correct?

In theory it should, as version 3.0 is backwards compatible all the way to 1.0. Make sure you have updated the BIOS there to the latest version though, as they released an update to support newer cards.

Would you know of any decent/cheap RAM that would work on the motherboard I posted?
    (2 2 gig sticks or 4 1 gigs?)

Nope, 4GB of DDR2 is about $50 everywhere now, it is ancient. You might be able to save $10-20 if you buy some off of ebay.

    I already have 2gb ddr2 ram(lol I know) would any 2 ddr2 ram match it?
(idk if this would help?) http://imgur.com/kYWxG

If the voltage of the stick is the same, any decent 2gb DDR2 stick should work with it.
