Have you looked into shooty Chaos? I'm currently fine tuning an army list based around it, and from the few trials I've done, it's more or less on par with stuff like necrons.

I'll post the finalized 1850 point list once I fine tune it some more.

... Must admit though, the joy at the idea of chaos termies with 2x lightning claws and mark of khorne charging out of a landraider... well... Any unit getting charged by them would surely soil themselves. it's... 5 attacks per termie I believe.

Haven't tried shooty. I tried to use a balanced list but don't have much luck thanks to Eldar and Tau dominating my area.

I did think about playing a World Eaters army but it's just suicide in a shooty meta.

Termicide is good and fun, landing some termies in the middle of their army and seeing their faces turn as you blow something extra nice up.. but then die next turn.

Still have yet to paint my Chaos, can't decide on an army. Why do they all have to look so good. :s

I field a helldrake and plan on fielding the termies + landraider. It's a large chunk of points, sure, but then they have to make the choice of dealing with the hell turkey or the termies/landraider.

So I had a fun game yesterday against Tau, my Cultist Champion won a challenge... and then transformed into a Daemon Prince. The look on my friends face was priceless.

I have a question about Dark Apothesis, do you have to replace the model, i.e. have a larger base when you turn into a daemon prince? Also, is it just a boring ass, non marked prince?

You're meant to replace it yea and yes, it's a bog standard DP, so if your lord transforms into one... it's a bit of a shitter but when your Cultist turns into one..
