Can't activate account

So I just made my GW2 account and when I go to log in it tells me
"you need to validate your email well send a link to your email click the link blah blah"
Usual stuff but when I click the link in the email I get a message that says
"This link is invalid or expired"
I've tried 5 times now to resend it and have gotten the same message...wtf?
Am I seriously never going to be able to play cause I can't get past this?

I have the same issue, except that I can still press play and play the game...

ahhhhhh I love you Im still downloading the big ass patch thing so I cant press play yet

It's still gunna be able to work?

Its a known issue. You can still press play and play the game.
