I need to know what I am doing wrong!

There are my logs in 5.0.4 and my logs in 4.3. I am not complaining about the changes to Elemental Shaman and the rough patch we are currently experiencing, but rather what I can do to pick up my game. I am currently underperforming like a mofo to basically everyone and I am quite over it. I need to know what I am doing wrong so I can improve.

From just looking at your armory. You don't have 4 set, which is definitely a reason why your dps may be low. You are also missing a tinker on your gloves, and in general, your gear isn't the greatest at the moment.

I'm not missing a tinker on my Gloves. I know my gear isn't great but apparently my dps is still meant to be higher.

This is from the beta changes thread.

Ascendance adds ~12.5% to your total damage, while Stampede doesn't really do much at all. About the only other spec affected by a major ability/passive to this extent would be Affliction with Pandemic.

There's also only 4 (5 if you count Rogues) classes with L90 damage talents too, and ours are a probably a bit higher proportionally than other classes. I'm estimating about 18% of our damage is "missing" because of those two factors.

That is your main reason. You should read the 'Doing less dmg as ele' thread as well.

I have also noticed that you aren't hit capped. Missing your spells can lower your dps very much. Especially if you miss a Flame Shock. Waiting another 5 seconds, without Lava Burst crits can be very lethal.

The armory doesn't incorporate that I am a Dranei. I am in-fact hit capped. 15.4%.

Why should it be like that?
But, rejoice! Only a few weeks until it does not matter anymore!

Unfortunately, at the moment, Ele is not designed with "dps that are meant to be higher".

Pressure from a certain guild-mate telling me I am completely underperforming as an Elemental Shaman. It's kind of annoying and I know we're in a bad spot, and my gear doesn't help either but apparently I'm doing it wrong and I should feel bad.

Why should you feel bad over something terrible serious as playing a game? Because some "guild-mate" tells you?
Link him to some ele shaman threads, it's pre expansion patch which are known for imbalances.

And I suggest you find other mates who don't tell you should be feeling bad but in stead help you...
