Why is it that when I look up benchmarks your x6 1046T always shows up as higher and yet my x4 955 can handle WvWvW just fine? is it because that is clocked at 2.7 and mine at 3.2?

Exactly that. The extra cores do nothing in games, and you should be looking into gaming benchmarks, not some random benchmarks.

I would suggest if you're going to go AMD instead of intel go the whole way, get an APU and an AMD video card to match it.

Why would you get an APU and a video card hen the APU has built in graphics and can get no were near the power o an aftermarket GPU.

OT: I'd go with at least a 6 core bulldozer. There not perfect but if your not going to go intel I would venture to bet that is your best route.
