I just got an AMD card for the first time after having nvidia, what does this do? I have a radeon hd 7800 series. Should I use this to get better performance?

Gotta let my friend know who is running the 6990 and been having performance issues.
I have the 7970 and installing the 12.7 beta drivers has given me awesome performance. I'll try out this GW2 profile but I can't see it getting any better. I think the only problem at this stage is that when I first log in or alt-tab, use a waypoint, it's choppy the first time I turn around. To be expected, probably a CPU issue?
