i will agree with u on this honestly since the patch my lock as destro is doin better dps than either my mage or hunter and his gear is lightly less than these 2. If peep want a tank tree demo would be the best tree to do it with or a completly new tree. The problem with WOW now days is Blizz in their infinate wisom desided about hlaf way thru wrath to make every tree a do everthihg every other tree could do becasue of peep QQing aflict/destro ect is doin more dps than my demo is. if u remeber right back in the day Demo locks BM hunters trees were designed to lvl and quest with. That was the reason those trees were so strong at doin this. Demo really didn become popular till about half way thru wrath when they came out with that pactch ( dont remeber wich 1 right off hand ) that made demo a 3 button dps tree and conflag hit for like 15 or 20k crits that was nefrted about 5 hiours after it went live cause blizz relized they OP it. They need to stop tryin to make every tree the same and put the origanalty back into the trees like in valinna and BC, this is 1 reason so many of the old players have left WOW. As far as destro is concerned its very popular as popular as the other 2 specs. Unfornatley this will never happen now since blizz has changed so much in game but at least for once us locks have the ability to pull some really good dps instead of bein nerfted into the ground with all 3 specs.

Some formatting would be nice, but you do realise that a 'levelling tree' is/was a complete waste of resources?

As for the 'demo-conflag' build, that was an abject failure of design for both Destruction and Demonology since it basically ignored both trees' core mechanics with the exception of Conflagrate.

I think they did go a very long way towards making the trees more unique, but there is that marker where Warlocks have traditionally used abilities from all their specialisations, in contrast with Mages whos trees are very focused on spells specific to their tree, and they had to be careful not to overstep that and damage the overall flavour of the class.
