Beta end date?

I've been googling the past few minutes on it but can't find anything. Anybody know of word on this or will it just randomly end one day?

I feel it should end within the next week but I'm just curious. I'm still enjoying playing my monk

I thought I read somewhere it's meant to end a week after 5.0.4 stopped on PBT.
But I guess that's not correct.
I'd guess next Tuesday, or a random Friday or something.
Within this week I'd say.

I think a few days before release. They will probably want to test all they can until then so they can keep patching the game as needed.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that it's this coming tuesday that it shuts down, so 11th september (2 weeks before release).

My guess is when they open up the Theramore event on live servers, which is Sept 18.

It will end (most likely) 2 weeks before release which is around 10-11th september.

Nothing official has been announce but it is usually 1-2 weeks prior to release. There may not be any warning either. Both the Cata and Wrath betas shut down in the middle of the night (US) with no advanced warning at all. We got a blue post about 15 minutes after the servers shut down saying "Thanks for testing stuff for us" and that was it.

There was something officialish by Sapperwyx, if you guys care enough you'll have to google it, it was within one of the beta maitenance threads and someone asked would it be shut down on September 11th, Sapper replied "seems about right, couple days either side maybe"

Nothing offical until its official until its a proper blue post about it I wouldn't count on them knowing or wanting to share it at that point.

Few weeks back devs were saying "Probably on the 11th" when asked.

Obviously that's not a confirmation, but it shows the devs are likely not keeping beta open until 11:59PM EST on the 24th.

they are still rolling out new builds on the PTR, and with how much things are still broken, and by broken I mean quests, phasing issues and other fundamental playablity aspects... It's likely the PTR will persist right up until launch. At the least, Blizzard will make a post of when they plan to take down the PTR a few days in advance

PTR might be up until just before launch. The discussion here is when *Beta* will end, however.

I'm still confused why the PTR is still going. I can only imagine it's still getting the new builds and they're testing lvl85 reactions to the changes but considering the nature of the PTR population that's kind of a lost cause.
