Exploration is an activity that appeared at the beginning of World of Warcraft. It's an "alternative" way of playing the game, mainly based on the pleasure of discovering. Go where most of the other player probably won't ever go. It was made famous by Nogg-Aholic, and the legendary Nogg-Aholic The Movie.
The Royal IdP Essploring Fundation is the oldest exploration community still alive.
Some people said that Cataclysm killed exploration with flying mounts allowed on the old continents. But this is wrong, exploration is alive, and for a long time !
