    Hybrid Healing in MoP

    Hey!
Just saw this video from a good hunter who is doing the beta:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c9WWj...&feature=g-u-u
And honestly I'm scared as hell. Do you think Blizzard will do something about this?

If you cba watching the video it's basically a hunter/mist monk combo fighting against feral/frost mage. In the end the mist monk almost goes OOM as the hunter struggles to get the 2 dps classes down. On the last screen you can see that the feral druid did about half as much healing as the mist monk did.
Also to point out: BM hunters are probably the burstiest dps class in MoP atm.

What are your thoughts on this? Got any solutions? Should they just nerf the hybrid healing outright?

    Hunter-healer has never ever worked.

Doesn't matter if BM can kill people quickly, they will pop defensives and then its smooth sailing from there since a hunter can't interrupt for shit without sacrificing cc.

So you basically ran a single DPS against a hybrid and a class which is notorious for its' slows, snares, def CDs and general survivability?

You have nothing to worry about from this example alone, because your setup wasn't well-equipped to take down either class with any sort of ease.

Incorrect. Hunter / Healer worked in TBC with either Hunter / Disc (viper sting coupled with mana burn) or Hunter / Resto Druid. Both were R1 viable.

Hybrid healing is fine. That hunter seems to be dedicating his life to trying to force it down everyone's throats that hybrid healing is broken beyond all help when he doesn't even play properly - pops every cooldown and then just stands there shooting into the block for a solid 5 seconds complaining about how it lasts for ages, then gets the mage down to 20% from 95 in two globals. It's just lack of game sense, which 90 arenas actually seem to require in order to get a kill (CCing, ooming healers, etc. much like TBC, which lots of people love) rather than mindlessly running around while a pet does 20k DPS.

His other video that shows him turretting into a bunch of hybrids (who oom in about 10 seconds of spamming heals, but that's clearly not a drawback, they just outhealed his damage man and they're not even healers can't have that maynnn) is even more informative.

^ It is astonishing how people don't know how to dps in pvp. Its like they failed in pve raiding and think that they can get an easy ride in pvp.

I can't speak for every hybrid, but at least for shadow, mana will be an issue and will force a balance in their ability to put out both strong damage and heals (and with the new mana caps it wont go away with gear). It's in no way overpowered, casting bubbles and heals puts a big strain on mana if you are also doing decent dps. Yes, they are able to both competently heal and do damage as the situation calls for, but that's kinda the whole point of playing a hybrid no?
