    Could anyone help me out with this? (Math)

    I have to transpose this formulae to make X the subject:

    y = a + b(x-1)

    Thanks to any helpful soul out there, who can save my ass!

    First remove the bracket: y = a + bx - b

    Secondly move everything except the x term to the left side of the = : y - a + b = bx

    Finally Remove the b from (bx) by dividing both sides by b : (y - a + b)/b = x

    We don't allow "do my homework for me" threads, though I guess it's too late.
