Damn, the nerf bat is swinging very heavily in ID

    RIFT 1.10 Hotfix #1 - 11:00am PDT 9/13/12 [NA] - 1:00am GMT/2:00am BST 14/9/12 [EU]

    GENERAL

    * You can now use /who to see characters of the opposite faction when on a PvE shard.
    * Raid and Group Daily and Weekly quests are now synchronized cross-faction. Daily Raid Rifts are still out of sync but will be next.
    * Barbershops are in business again!
    * Fixed a case where multiple rename scrolls could show up after purchasing just one.
    * The random teleporting to Atia on Ember Isle was fixed in an updated client released late last night.

    INSTANT ADVENTURE

    * Silverwood: Adventures at Wayward Thicket should no longer start participants at Sanctum Watch, which would auto-PvP flag Defiant characters.
    * Gloamwood: The Hag should no longer gain any healing while spell reflecting.

    INFERNAL DAWN

    * Ituziel:
    - Ituziel's health and damage reduced by 10%.
    - Brimstone Fissure is now a single-target attack.
    * Ember Conclave:
    - Emberlord Ereetu, Packlord Nahoth, and Witchlord Szath health and damage reduced by 10%.
    - Ember Nova's health reduced by ~50%, damage reduced by 10%.
    * Rusila Dreadblade: Players no longer need to be moving to cast Dread Shot Dodge.
    * Laethys:
    - Reduced Laethys' health by 10% in both phases.
    - Reduced Laethys' damage by 10% in the post-transformation phase.
    - Auric Evocation's damage has been additionally reduced, and now spawns three Tail Lances over its duration, down from five.
    - Increased enrage timer.

If you are finding it that difficult to get into ID (it isn't that hard) either you should go play another MMO or just wait to try it out during Storm Legion. Hell I was casual during Burning Crusade and I still managed to get into Sunwell Plateau, if even just to check out the first few trash pulls.

Hotfix #2 is out the gates!

    GENERAL
    * World Event: Atrophinius has increased the potency of the Mead at Faerie Rings. Transfer will begin immediately instead of after 3 seconds.
    * World Event: Reduced the number of Harvest helpers allowed in the Realm of the Autumn Harvest instances.
    * You can now queue for Freemarch Instant Adventure while in Meridian, and Silverwood Instant Adventure while in Sanctum.
    * Daily Raid Rift quests should now be synced between both factions.
    * Defiants can now start the Water Saga even if they are grouped with Guardians.
    * Fixed a bad interaction with zone chat channels and cross-faction grouping that could cause zone channels to not appear.
    * Players using non-USD currency can now complete purchases from Deeps' Depot.
    * The Fill Soul button for the right-most Soul in the UI is no longer cut off on the edge.
    * Fixed a client crash case when many many other characters were on screen.

    CONQUEST
    * Cut down the number of extractors on the map to 18.
    * The defender buff on extractors now accumulates more rapidly.
    * When you're around a Sourcestone carrier, you gain a buff granting 1.5x Favor and Prestige.
    * Carrying Sourcestone now grants Order of the Eye/The Unseen notoriety.
    * Additional Sourcestones now on the map!
    * Cut the lockdown phase to 5 minutes from 10.
    * Increased the hit points on turrets.
    * Turrets now buff each other while up.
    * Added turrets to more locations on the map.
    * The trigger for the countdown phase is now 55% control of map objectives.
    * Due to a typo, the quest text still says 60% control and the lockdown phase lists 10 minutes. These will be corrected in a future hotfix.
    Playing: Torchlight 2 and RIFT.
    PC: i7 930 @ 3.6GHz // GTX 560 Ti // 6GB DDR3 // 3x 1TB Samsung F3 // 2x 24" 1080p

Nice catch, seems they're reducing Conquest from the "ride around capping PvE objectives" and forcing players to engage in PvP...no doubt this will keep the choo choo NightFAIL train riders happy

They need to ramp up the damage of the turrets, make it worthwhile upgrading them, make using them as a defensive standpoint worthwhile and prevent small groups of 1-3 from being able to take them out.

I'm still on the fence if I like the changes. I just did a match it lasted err about 15 or so minutes until the 60% extractor mark was reached by nightfall. Umm there was plenty favor and prestige to be had but I still like the longer epic battles. It was over so fast imo the timer for the next conquest match was a bit discouraging since I didn't get my fill last match.

Here's hotfix #3, more Conquest tweaks and stuff

    RIFT 1.10 Hotfix 3 - 8:00am PDT 9/19/12 [NA] - 1:00am GMT/2:00am BST 20/9/12 [EU]

    AUTUMN HARVEST

    * Added a new Autumn Harvest Voucher item to the Voucher merchants, so you can trade Autumn Harvest currency to other characters on your account.
    * Realm of the Autumn Harvest has a few changes:
    - Liferoots will be spawning more slowly, but in more locations. They can still be harvested either by watching where the Rooters go to reveal them, or by using AoEs along the hedges.
    - As Winter approaches, the Frostjacks have become more powerful. All who help deal with this increased menace will be rewarded when they are dispatched.
    - All of the harvesting on the hedges has attracted the attention of even more Summer Ravagers, so expect to see larger and more frequent swarms of them.
    * Moonshade Autumncaps are now fully ripe, and 3 can be harvested per node.
    * The rooters in Realm of the Autumn Harvest are far less likely to get hung up on the rock near Atrophinius.
    * The range of the temporary ability that collects the Autumncap Fungi has doubled.
    * Many of the harder-to-reach Autumncap Fungi in Gloamwood have been dropped lower. Combined with the range increase, these should be easier to obtain.
    * Tweaked the respawn delays of the Artifact nodes by 5-15 seconds.

    INSTANT ADVENTURE

    * Scarwood Reach: Modified the health scaling for Instant Adventure bosses. Bosses should be slightly easier to kill for very small groups, and ramp up health significantly for large groups.
    * Gloamwood: Incinerator Gerbik and Warlord Swedge should now be counted more consistently for the Gloamwood Advanced Adventurer achievement.
    * Gloamwood: The Solemn Family is once again available.
    * Gloamwood: Fixed a missing quest objective for Morel Imperative.

    GENERAL

    * Ranger: Fixed an issue with Ranger pet damage being reduced unintentionally.
    * Greenscale's Blight: Greenscale now drops both items used for the Death/Life Sagas, so mixed Guardian and Defiant raids both get their version.
    * The 'Fill Soul' buttons on the Soul Tree are now hidden when you cannot spend additional points in that soul.
    * The location where the client stores user files like screenshots, addons, and combat logs, is now configurable via rift.cfg. Look for DocumentsDirectory under [Client].

    CONQUEST

    * 65% control is now required to trigger lockdown phase.
    * Increased the hit points on extractors.
    * Increased the periodic Conquest Power payout from extractors.

For some reason I am downloading this update at a SUPER DUPER speed of about 135 KB/s..... Normally I download at about 2-3MB/s.

Yes I mean bytes, not bits.

Slip is slacking I see... tut tut!

    GENERAL
    * The World Event should no longer randomly disappear from the quest tracker.
    * Conquest: Fixed a case where players on the defeated team were able to respawn or teleport into Conquest after the match had ended.
    * Gloamwood: Removed the four Solemn Brothers as targets for the Gloamwood Advanced Adventurer achievement.
    * Gloamwood: Moved the location of the Instant Adventure, 'Solemn Family', so it will work more reliably.
    * Fixed a rare case where players could execute multiple auto attacks in a short time.
    * Added some tracking to help hunt down the cause of ability lag that people have been reporting.
    * Yay, client stability fixes!
    Playing: Torchlight 2 and RIFT.

Trion rolling out another HUGE hotfix patch:

    RIFT 1.10 Hotfix #5 - 28/9/12

    GENERAL
Updated the Young Treant Pet to have the correct - new! - model. If you already obtained this pet, it will be updated automatically!
Added a confirmation message when using the auto-sort bags feature. The popup has a checkbox to allow you to skip seeing it until the next time you log in.
Looking at approximately 9 gigs of file updates

Kidding aside, I love that the company rolls out a hotfix for 'minor' things like this.
