Probably Ravenclaw, thanks to my biggest pet peeve about the HP universe:

J.K. Rowling never explains how spells come to be. Since they are determined by pronounciation (linguistic) and gestures, SOMEONE must have the job of finding 'new' spells. She also refers several times in the books to creating spells, so it is obvious that there are several that are currently undiscovered. Once this thought struck me, I got goosebumps thinking about using language to actively change the world. Not in our "Write a blog, hold a speech"-way, but in a "Spend one year in full seclusion with two other linguists, and come up with a permanent ball of Lumos."-way.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Or Gryffindor, because I tend to be chivalrous and hotheaded to a fault xD

Either Hufflepuff or Slytherin. I don't have much in the way of patience, but the other things were fairly accurate.

In my case it would be a tie between Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw. I consider myself as a calm and always fair guy with some intelligence and a urge to learn more. I'd prefer Ravenclaw though because it has the cooler name crest and colorscheme.
I hate the mainstream or the "always winning team" so Griffs or Slyths are not my thing.

hufflepuff or ravenclaw possibly, I sense a bit of both. I'd probably nudge the sorting hat towards ravenclaw.

I don't fit perfectly into any of them, in all truth. The closest would be Ravenclaw, as I value learning and knowledge. I usually consider that my house.
