Is there a way to extend the taskbar?

Like the title says, is there a way to extend the task bar, or duplicate it so that it fits my dual monitor set up? But, the trick is, I don't want to forfeit my extended display. I like the huge amount of space on my desktop, but dislike the fact that my taskbar is only on one side of my set up. Is there a fix? Or am I just stuck with this?

I'm not sure of any good free programs to do this, but it might be worth trying out Actual Multiple Monitors and see how you like it.

There are quite a few other third party programs for this, but most of them are commercial it seems.
