    1. We need a budget
    2. The 560 should be able to run it on high with some tweaks.

Buy a GTX 660 Ti or higher and you can get Borderlands 2 for free (at least from newegg). It'll cost a little more than buying a 560 and Borderlands, but you'd be future-proofed for a while.

You can activate your key on steam or use it as a standalone game. Steam accepts all forms of box/promo/whatever keys for the majority of games on the service.

Depends how much the game is worth to you compared to how well your card performs. The 660 TI isn't selling well whatsoever, and for good reason. It's priced the same as the HD 7950 which is a far superior card.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814102989 is this the HD 7950 you are speaking of glo? I'm wanting to get the game off steam with the season pass for the dlc. So I can get the game at anytime. I just want a good graphics card that'll last me a good while

Yup that's the one. Here's a recent thread that actually popped up yesterday or today on the exact same topic:

Basically, out of the gate it performs better, overclocks better, runs MUCH better at higher resolutions and has better multi-monitor support.

I've been told by a few now recently that this is the best single card for single monitor setup that would future proof you for a bit in the future.

This is probably the better choice unless the OP plays only a few titles per year. Borderlands 2 has Physix so if you're planning on playing it for an extremely long time, you might want to check the 660 ti out, otherwise just get the AMD.
