If Microsoft tried to follow the trend, who would be in it?
Would it be halo and friends or could the game stand up with a reasonable cast?

There are way too many characters on your list that are cross platform for it to be a MS version of all stars or SSB. At least the Sony and Nintendo versions have most, if not all platform exclusives.

Maybe characters from Banjo Kazooie
Bad guys from Halo or GoW

I honestly can't think of many Xbox exclusive games with identifiable characters. Maybe Blue Dragon? I am sure someone else could chime in with more.

Honestly, I hope Playstation Allstars flop, and I hope Microsoft won't go in the same direction, but if they do - I hope they flop too.

From the looks of the game now, it has nothing but brands that other games established. If the game is shallow at its core, it really doesn't matter which 'heroes of the gaming world' are in there.

Tbh it wouldn't surprise me, sounds like a Microsoft thing to be the last on the ride, and then proceed to flop it.

Honestly, the one thing I've always hated about SSB dreamlists have always been unrealistic wishes. The Flood from Halo is obviously unrealistic. Think of a single character who have fighting experience and is a main character in his/her story, the character has to be unique and not just any other generic guy, and most importantly keep it within the company that's making the game's reach. That's how you can be realistic.
