As much as I lobe Nobuo and I even got to meet him, he signed my Unopened Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy 3 SNES games. I have to go with Harry Gregson Williams
Jeremy Soule (Knights of the Old Republic, Skyrim, Guild Wars 2)
Harry Gregson-Williams (Metal Gear Solid franchise, Call of Duty 4)
Jack Wall (Mass Effect franchise, Jade Empire)
Hans Zimmer (Modern Warfare 2, Crysis 2)
Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy franchise)
Akira Yamaoka ( Silent Hill franchise)
whoever did Megaman and F-zero
Jack Wall = Jeremy Soule > Others that I don't care about.
No David Wise or Grant Kirkhope?! sad :<
David Wise did Battletoads, Donkey kong country, diddy kong racing and a whole slew of other Rareware titles while Grant Kirkhope did Banjo games and KoA: Reckoning amongst others.

Since there's no Matt Uelmen I voted for Jeremy Soule.
Dude, where's Marty O'Donnel from the Halo Series ? He's one hell of a composer ! He can make an epic and calm music at the same time, listen to the whole discography of the Halo Series (Halo 1-2-3-Reach), and you'll be astonished with his musical work.
No Frank Keplacki? The guy did a brilliant job with the C&C music, and is doing great in End of Nations aswell.
Answer was given in the third post. I dont think anyone has been more prolific then Nobuo Uematsu.
If we were talking about best composer from that list 'in general', Hans Zimmer > All.
However the question was specifically games, and Jeremy Soule wins the title for me there.
I've never played a Final Fantasy game, but I've played the majority of games composed by Jeremy Soule and the Music is always Mind Blowing. So he definitely wins the Category for me.
Where the hell is Koji Kondo?
Trying to remember her name. She actually did compose for a great old game I played in around 1998 I believe, called Castlevania Symphony of the Night. I don't think she's listed in the poll, though.

Nobuo hands down, no real competiton, everything he touches turns into gold. Yes the other ones certainly have their moments and has made really good music, but the range of Uematsu is insane.
I gotta say I love the Skyrim soundtrack, by Jeremy Soule.
It's just that I love the Metal Gear franchise even more.
Easily best piece of game music ever for me is this:
Had to vote jack wall though as sam hulick isnt in the list.
