I picked Nobuo Uematsu I really like his work on the Final Fantasy games but I'm very disappointed not to see Koji Kondo not up there. He was the mastermind behind all of the awesome music in Nintendo's games such as The Legend of Zelda games, the Super Mario games, and the Starfox games (or at least Starfox 64). Koji Kondo has got to be one of the top 5 best composers of video game history.

My favorite video game composer is Grant Kirkhope (GoldenEye 007, Banjo Kazooie, Donkey Cong 64), then there's Robin Beanland for Jet Force Gemini, and of course Nobuo Uematsu.

    Matt Uelmen

The music in tl2 brought the chills like in d2.

This list is missing David Wise. He composed Donkey Kong Country 1/2/3 and a bunch of other classic Rareware games.

I'm also on board for Yoko for Kingdom Hearts, SMRPG, Mana, and Xenoblade.

Halo just won't be the same without him.
Of the ones on the list, I'd have to go with Uematsu, and of the ones not on the list I'd go with Yoko Shimomura.

It also looks like he did a bunch of kid games, and Top Gun (the movie)

How wrong could you be? You know there is an entire symphony going around for Zelda's anniversary of HIS music? You know why? The music is good enough to be in it's own concert, and is incredibly memorable. My friend who isn't as big a fan as I am told me, the one thing she always remembered about OOT was it's soundtrack. Hell, the Mario theme is probably one of the most recognizable themes, ever. Koji Kondo created those pieces, to say he's just well known for working with those games is just stupid, you could say that about ANYONE on this poll, that doesn't make them any less of the composers they are.

Kid could have ended the calamity.

Instead, he chose to stay with me....with us.

If there's anyone I would want to be with in the new world, it's the kid.

This isn't a real quote, but you're still reading this in my voice.

Matt Gray, Jeroen Tel, Chris Huelsbeck, Bobby Prince, Rob Hubbard, Allister Brimble...

Today's game is crappy overuse of "epic" symphonic.
