The only impressions I really take from it is that it seems to regain some of the glamour that was so brilliantly found in Casino Royale. Quantum of Solace sort of lost that. The plot itself is still more or less shrouded in mystery, so it's largely impossible to say.
That was pretty much the sexiest teaser trailer I've ever seen, I suppose the guy walking away looking like a shadowy Joker (it's the hair, not how the person walks, or would act) is the Mr. Javier Bardem. Other than that, this seems to capture the classyness of what the James Bond movies are and should be. Quantum set out to make an action movie, Casio Royal was set out to make a Bond movie. This one seems to be the true sequel to Casino Royal. Really love how this is looking, day one for me.
looks pretty good, I loved Casino Royale, I've tried three times to watch Quantam, I keep falling asleep.
This one looks like it should be able to keep me interested

James Bond lost his appeal to me ever since Casino Royale. Casino Royale is a good movie, but what bothers me about it is the removal of the "Bond Gadgets" seen in previous films.
Quantum of Solace is in my opinion the SHITTIEST Bond EVER. I spent the entire length of the movie wondering what was going on PLUS they removed the gunbarrel intro, which had been a Bond STAPLE since 1962!
I'm a huge Bond fan and I pray every day they deliver the goods with Skyfall.

Blame the writer's strike. QoS was incredibly hamstrung by the strike that I'm surprised the movie turned out as well as it did.
As for Skyfall, can't wait. Love the Bond movies.

The plot wasn't hard to follow at all. There is a group of elite businessfolk that are strategically taking control of the world's fresh water supply and then selling it to the government for huge sums of money. They dammed the water in whatever South American country that was in a reservoir under the desert, helped in a coup to get a more friendly leader in power, then extorted him into paying tons of money for access to the water in the desert he gave them thinking they were looking for oil. It wasn't a good Bond movie, but it is way better than the schlocky ones from the late 70s early 80s, the Dalton ones, and NSNA.

Yea the story wasn't that bad, nor were the infamous Bond Girls (could easily be in the top 5), but, the editing is the main problem with QoS. The first scene with the car chase is a perfect example. People had no idea what was going on because of the crazy cuts every 6-8 seconds.
I'm hoping for a return to the greatness that was Casino Royale.
They have a new director, Sam Mendes, and he has done some great things (American Beauty, Road to Perdition). So I'm pretty excited.
On second though about the trailer, while the bond theme song seems to be eletronic/tracny in this, I hope it's not dubstep, that would sadly ruin most of the movie for me, as the theme song and opening credits is a key feature in the Bond series.

I've been waiting for the trailer for this movie since it was announced it was in production. Been a big fan of the Bond movies, and this one looks stellar.
I do agree with most of the other posters, I really hope this puts the Bond back in Bond movies; QoS was extremely disappointing. I think the best thing about me going to see that was that I love movie Popcorn. :3
As for favorite Bond mine is still Pierce Brosnan, mostly because I grew up around when he was the one starring as Bond, which is what triggered me getting into the movies in the first place. ^_^
Road to Perdition, Jarhead and American Beauty are all fantastic movies and I can't wait to see what Mendes does with this. QoS was an oversight as some have stated; it landed at a poor time, with a badly written script as the end result. Daniels is one of the best Bonds in a long time, giving a stale franchise the breath of fresh air it really needed. After all, Bourne had out done Bond on every possible level.
Skyfall's theme song, and holy shit it's not bad at all.
bond is getting more and more rambo and less and less secret agent with giant over the top space lasers that need to be delt with.
i'll probably watch it, but i suspect i will forget about the movie as soon as i leave the theater.
