Hello guys since at MOP i will start playing WoW again and i am active in 3D modelling / animation (maya) etc i would like to upgrade my macbook pro (medio 2010).
At the moment it has:
Processor: 2,66 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 4 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M / 512 MB
I would like to upgrade my memory since i often run at the max when working in 3D.
Now my question:
Does somebody have experience with upgrading this particular model? Or another Macbook Pro.
I read that my MBP only supports max 8GB memory so i think i want to go for this. Is there something i should look for?
Found a site that allows you to upgrade easily but it doesn't show my model.

Will the one that should have Thunderbolt also support mine?
I take it you are a mobile and have a workstation already for actual 3D Modelling, correct? A desktop at the same price of a Macbook would be many times more powerful and obvious choice for Rendering, 3D Modelling and so forth compared to a laptop.
Adding extra RAM should be rather easy unless you are unsure about it I believe Apple can do it for you, for a charge
Here is a video how to add RAM into a Macbook Pro, the model shouldn't really matter.
Yeah i have a workstation at home, but since i do a multimedia design study i need to take my laptop everywhere. And do all my work on it at the moment actually. Was checking around and saw that 8GB RAM only costs around 40/45 bucks nowadays. So it is a really nice price / quality upgrade. ^^ but i was unsure about what sort of RAM i should buy since as stated above my model isn't between it. But good to hear the model really doesn't matter. Thank you .
