BM hunter pet for prepandaria PVP and pandaria leveling?

Hey guys, just wondering if you guys know what pet is best nowadays for a BM hunter in PVP and what can be considered the best pet to level with come 25 September. Couldn´t find it elsewhere on the forums I tried.

BM wise go with a t-rex, crit with healing debuff
also consider Corehound, popping hero on cd is nice
sprirt beasts used to be best, but now they give mastery which is behind crit in out stat priority, but they also have a nice little heal

He's not talking about raiding, it's either pvp or leveling. Giving crit,mastery, agi it's all the same when the quest mob dies in a few seconds. The buff your pet gives is irrelevant.
There is another thread about the same question, about shale spiders being the best pet. They have the roots, which is nice for pvp, and gives you kings, 5% of stats.
I'm not into pvp, so dunno if roots are better than a blind or a stun. But for leveling, anything goes. I'll use any pet I have, though my spirit beasts will probably stay out longer, due to their heal. And I like them.
I will probably use all my pets as ferocity, as i see no reason to have a tenacity pet for leveling. I want to kill mobs asap, not tank them. Dunno again if there are group quests like there was in pre-wrath (there was 0 group quests in Catalcysm). If there are not, ferocity pet, any kind of pet will do, any buff will do.

WarBringer, I agree with Lethotix. The Devilsaur is my favorite in PvP. I use BM in PVP because of it. Stacking your Widow Venom with its healing debuff used to be awesome in the little PvP I did in Cataclysm (stupid expansion made us paper characters, glad it's over). I don't know how relevant it stay in MoP, but it was my main option.

Do they use Dire Beast in PVP? Ive understood its required in PVE now

Dire beast is great in PvP. Is crit really THAT much over mastery these days? Don't you want almost an equal balance? Making which pet buff you want all dependent on which stat you have less of. Personally me and my shale spidey are attached at the hip. Oh and I also have water walking macro'd to my mount ftw.

yes technically the shale spider is best cuz of the 5% agi, but that does not stack with kings, which u can get with drums if u going solo for questing, so best dps pet would be one that gives 5% crit, and being BM u can get a trex with a bonus ability which is healing debuff.

Spirit Beast. Nuff said. There isn't a sinlge pet ability that can trump the Heal you get from a Spirit Beast. Remember a dead Hunter does no DPS. The ability to heal yourself for close to 30% of your HP every 30 seconds will be rather nice for speedy leveling.

the SB heal is pretty much useless lvling up, i never went below 85% the 3 times i lvled to 90 on beta. As far as pvp goes I personally use a SB for wpvp. But depending on what type of pvp u talking about(casual bgs, rbgs, arenas, wpvp) and comp and ur job in those, that would determine ur best pet. There is no magical BEST for all.

Before 5.0.4 I ran either with Spirit Beasts or a Shale Spider for PVP. I absolutely LOVE the shale spider in PVP, and the spirit beasts were always good to me.

As for leveling, I'd have to recommend keeping at least one tank pet with you in the event you find yourself neck-deep in mobs. I recently got a Basilisk on a lower level toon, and in limited play it's worked out nicely so far, just not sure how well one would hold up at higher level. For Pandaria, on my currently 85 hunter, I plan on running with my shale spider (tank), a couple of spirit beasts (DPS / world PVP ) and a couple of normal pets (probably a wolf and a cat for PVE DPS) - just for giggles.

I have to disagree with you there. I leveled 2 Hunters to 90 on the Beta and used Spirit Mend on CD basically the entire time. Although I would pull more than one mob at a time and undoubtedly would be struck at least once before MD ripped them off me. So to say its useless its utterly wrong.

U should really put MD into every shot macro, hardly ever get hit and with the spirit bond talent u'll be at full hp all the time. I pull like a mad man trying to complete each task asap in prep for lvl 90 race. I won the 85 race so i think i know what i'm talking about.

I have it macro'd actually, but there is always a second or two when MD fades before it is reapplied. I also have server firsts, one at 80 and one at 85 so I as well know what I am talking about. Thanks for the "advice" though. ^.^
