    MoP/Alliance - That first quest ?

On Beta - everyone had to funnel through a single vehicle quest to proceed on the Jade Forest quest line.

I'm a touch concerned that this is going to be way worse than any other expansion because:

BC : Hellfire had multi quests to start with
LK : Had multiple quests and two starting zones
Cata : Had two starting zones (but one funnel quest each).

Is there some trick Blizzard have up their sleeve, or is the single quest meant to be a rate limiter on the remainder of the zone (i.e. once you are through you are fine) ?

I may be wrong about this, but I think Blizzard can use the CRZ technology to create different instances of the world, similar to different server shards you might have experienced in other MMOs. If Realm A's Jade Forest has 50 people in it, it will create another instance of this. If Jade Forest 2 has 50 people, it will create another...etc, etc. Again, I may be wrong, but I'm certain I read this somewhere recently.

I read that the CRZ technology will not be used at all (in either direction) in the new zones at launch.

There was a second possible bottle neck, although I'm pretty sure that was a bug that has since been fixed. There was a Hozen dude you needed to kill, in the forefront of a ship, underwater. This Hozen dude dropped an item you needed to finish a quest, that you needed to progress through the early Alliance story. This Hozen only dropped this item for the one that tagged him, and not for everyone involved in killing him (like most of that type quests work). It was so bad that even people in your group didn't recieve the item if you looted it.

A third possible bottle neck I came across in early Alliance quests was a Horde outpost you need to go to. There were simply not enough Horde mobs in that outpost to kill enough for the kill requirement. You had to wait for respawns, with at least half a dozen others in my case, fighting to get mobs tagged before someone else got them.

But that's about it, and I think both issues should be resolved cause they were painfully obvious, but if you come across them don't be surprised if they are tricky either.

Those bottle necks further down the track aren't as big an issue imo, because the natural spread of characters will reduce the wait.

The first quest you get to in Pandaria - the one on the helicopter, that is going to be a huge problem in comparison.

Don't worry, the mobs spawn back very fast. There are worse bottleneck quests in the Jade Forest.

I'll prolly wait a bit and don´t head over to pandaria ASAP, I still have nightmares from that Cata release where I spent hours trying to get the kills I needed in Vash'ir

I might check out pet battles first and start a panda (I was in beta, so I already know what a totally and 100%ly cramped pandaren starting zone looks like)

If it anything like cataclysm, I'd be spending an hour getting into a dungeon and taking 2 or more hours to complete it.

Nah - Questing is best, not scared - if I can't get past the first quest - I'll just do some r/l stuff for a bit. Not aiming for server first or anything.

CRZ is on Pandaria. It is possible to invite a friend from another server to your group to quest. You just won't see CRZ active normally, as in, you won't see players from other servers in your Pandaria unless they were invited there.

No, they said that they will be creating separate instances of zones as needed to deal with overcrowding.

I approve of that for occasions of high pop. server. On beta, it was already buggy as it is with quests, but to have your entire server there, outrageous. Then again, you could just go hop to a different "low" pop server.
