    Question Charms of good fortune

I wonder, how do these work with master loot? And how does the master loot itself works with the new personalzied loot system? And does this new loot system work in normal raids, or just LFR?

According to the comments over at Wowhead, it can be used within any raid setting that involves group loot. It won't work with master looter as that's one individual deciding the loot distribution and not the system.

Hm, wouldn't that make master looter obsolete? Considering how new system removes competition between raid group members, and only calculates a random chance for getting an item for each player separately.

Master loot has stayed the same. LFR and group loot is determined by the game and is where Charms of Good Fortune come in. If you use one during the "roll" for loots it gives you a "boost" of your luck for loot. This does not make master looting obsolete as it is based on the raid leader or master looter who gets the gear.

Its really easy. The charm will give you 1 extra shot at the loot, independent of the "main" boss loot. There are 2 cases:

    1. LFG: You basicly get 2 rolls to get personal loot, the system is the same as it is in DS only that you get 2 shots if you use the charm.

    2. Normal/HC: First your raid gets the "main" loot. This is distributed by masterlooter/roll/whatever system you choose. Then you get a second shot, this time using the personal/lfg system.

So, do the charms act independently of the group's loot system after all? Did someone test it on beta, so he could confirm this?

Yes, it works like this. Here's a blue quote:

If you have one or more Charms of Good Fortune, then whenever you kill a raid boss (in Raid Finder, normal or heroic) then a new UI window will pop up asking if you want to spend your Charm on a bonus roll. If you click yes, then you’ll instantly get another shot at that boss’s loot table! You will always win something from the bonus roll, such as a pile of gold, gems, or flasks. However, you also have a small (but not miniscule) chance of receiving a piece of epic loot. As with the personal loot system, the item will always be something designed for your current spec.
