    Bartender4 MoP emergency

okey so MoP Launches within 15 hours and im worried cause i enbabled my XP-bar but it's not showing up is it because im lvl 85? cause when i log a non 85-alt and copy my mains Bartender4 profile it shows the XP bar. so my question is will the XP bar magically appear when i start to earn XP or have i fucked up somehow? dont wanna end up in a scenario where im speed leveling WITHOUT xp bar. And yes im using latest version.

Don't be surprised if your addon's crash entirely at launch. in answer to your question, yes i think it would. Only one way to find out.

It will show up as soon as the switch gets flipped.
If not, simply do /reload while playing and it will.

    Addons won't crash.
Nothing is changing between now and MoP.
    The code stays the same.

Isn't the Bartender4 xp bar also a reputation bar? Shouldn't it appear when you watch a faction (on max level)? Never used it so correct me if I am wrong. But my guess is, that it will be shown when MoP hits, 'cause the variable MAX_PLAYER_LEVEL will be updated from 85 to 90 (if you have bought the expansion).

Try making a level 1 character and use the same bartender profile and see if it shows up correctly.

They are two separate bars and once you are able to go to 90 the XP bar will show (it worked just fine for me in beta)

i will assume that the XP bar from bartender (and other XP bars) pull their information from blizzards XP bar. so when the XP trigger fires at 00:01 then any addon watching the event will also trigger

I've been leveling an alt in the last few days and while I haven't checked for the latest update (in case they have fixed it by now) I also had issues with a disappearing xp bar. A simple /reload did the trick but I had to do it every time I logged in. So I don't think it will make any difference that they turn on xp for lvl 85 characters, but yea just /reload.

If it shows on a non-85, it should immediately show once UPDATE_EXPANSION_LEVEL fires at midnight.

You'll be fine at launch, if it doesn't show at launch I would check the fade tab or its opacity.

Well on the topic of the exp bar, there is a cool addon called: MicroExperience (on wowinterface). It's a really amazing exp bar that changes color for each class. :P
